Coronavirus Safety: How to Celebrate Easter Under Quarantine

Coronavirus Safety: How to Celebrate Easter Under Quarantine

The onset of COVID-19 caused by the Coronavirus has affected thousands of households all over the country, forcing people to work from home and stay at home under quarantine to help avoid spreading the virus. This has caused many to postpone gatherings and parties, including plans made for Easter, which is just a little over a week away. However, the Coronavirus crisis shouldn’t be a reason to postpone celebrating Easter, as there are safe ways to celebrate the holiday even under quarantine. In this edition of our Coronavirus Safety series, we’re checking out ways on how to celebrate Easter under quarantine and how we can safely honor the holiday and spend time with our loved ones without risking infection.

Easter Services Go Online for Coronavirus Safety

Easter is a time to celebrate, but with the onset of COVID-19 and the risk it poses to hundreds of people congregating for mass, more and more pastors are taking to other avenues to celebrate mass and preach the good news of Jesus’ rising. This year’s Easter celebrations will be like no other, as people will refrain from congregating and instead will check out online venues for live stream services that are hosted from the pastor’s home. Technology has enabled this to take place, with Facebook Live and YouTube offering ways to broadcast right in the comfort of their own homes. Others even hold online bible studies through similar channels to help recreate a sense of community as we go through the Coronavirus pandemic. Now more than ever, more people are looking to connect with others while keeping safely isolated in their own homes.
