Crafty review: “The stitch itself is easy and is repeated throughout. The pattern was well done and the photos with measurements helped a lot. The few times I had a problem, it was usually because I didn’t read the pattern carefully. I did unravel a sleeve halfway through because of the bumps I kept getting on the graduated level/tapering parts. My advice would be to practice that portion a little to know how much or where to pull up the loop so that you get a smoother transition. My daughter loved it, so all is good. Crafty review: “This was a fun, fast knit (I cast-on early Saturday morning for some “car knitting” on a long car trip, and finished up on Sunday evening after dinner!). The technique is a great intro to stripes and entry-level colorwork, if you haven’t yet tried those techniques. The yarn is springy and squishy, one of my absolute favorite yarns. Very clear instructions. You can easily use magic loop to finish the hat if you don’t like DPNs. As a bonus, since the size large hat took only about 70 grams of yarn total, there is definitely enough yarn included for a second hat, and possibly a third (I tell you swap the color positions), making this kit an amazing value.
