Last week, the Pantone Color Institute, which is the world’s authority in color trends, announced that the Color of the Year for 2023 is what they call Viva Magenta 18-750. The magnificent color is described as “a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength.” It’s a perfectly fitting color to welcome 2023, especially with the events of the last few years.
“Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative,” the Pantone Color Institute explained on their website. The organization’s Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman also described the color as something that “galvanizes our spirit, helping us to build our inner strength.”
