The Pop Princess is pregnant! The 40 year old pop star took to Instagram on Monday to announce that she is expecting her first child with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, following a trip to Maui. This will be her third child after Sean Preston , 16, and Jayden James, 15, from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline.
“I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back,” Spears wrote on Instagram. “
So I got a pregnancy test…and uhhhhh well…I am having a baby.”
The pop star added, ” If 2 are in there…I might just lose it.” She continued to share that during her previous pregnancies, she experienced “perinatal depression,” which she described as “absolutely horrible.”
Spears’ pregnancy comes after a judge ended her 13-year conservatorship following a highly publicized legal battle with her own father. NPR reported that during a testimony in June 2021, Spears said she was forced to keep an IUD in place as part of the conservatorship.
